World Forum for Digital Audio Broadcasting - Worlddab
The World DAB Forum is an international non-governmental organisation whose objective is to promote, harmonise and co-ordinate the implementation of Digital Radio services based on the Eureka 147 DAB system.The goal of the Forum is to convert a brilliant piece of engineering achievement into a worldwide commercial marketing success, to the lasting economic and social benefit of all concerned. Over 285 million people around the world can now receive more than 585 different DAB services. Commercial DAB receivers have now been on the market since summer 1998. There are now more than 32 different DAB receivers commercially available. A receiver archive is available on this site, which exhibits the DAB car radios, hi-fi's, PC cards, and other DAB equipment that has been developed.

The World Wide Web Consortium was created in October 1994 to lead the World Wide Web to its full potential by developing common protocols that promote its evolution and ensure its interoperability. W3C has around 450 Member organizations from all over the world and has earned international recognition for its contributions to the growth of the Web.

MWI is led by key players in the mobile production chain, including authoring tool vendors, content providers, handset manufacturers, adaptation providers, browser vendors and mobile operators Ericsson, France Telecom, HP, Nokia, NTT DoCoMo, TIM Italia, Vodafone, Afilias, Bango, Drutt Corporation, Jataayu Software, Mobileaware, Opera Software, Segala, Sevenval, and Volantis. MWI participants are building a open database of device descriptions and developing best practices for the creation of mobile friendly Web sites.
