Pulse-LINK, Inc.
In May, 2001, Pulse-LINK acquired the Intellectual Property and assets of another leading company in the Ultra Wideband field, Fantasma Networks, Inc. Paul Allen's Interval Research incubated Fantasma in 1996. It was later Venture funded in April, 2000 by Vulcan Ventures, Intel Capital, APV Technology Partners and Centennial Ventures. Fantasma had already achieved wireless UWB data rates of up to 60Mbps and was scheduled to commercially launch their UWB Local Area Network and wireless video technology by end 2001. PulseLINK acquired all patents pending, prototypes, laboratory and testing equipment, Intellectual Property and other assets previously held by Fantasma. These assets were relocated from San Jose to PulseLINK's San Diego headquarters. Today, Pulse-LINK owns almost 80 patents covering ultra wideband wireless and wired communications technology, operational prototypes, complete laboratories, testing and development equipment and state of art technical facilities.
