The World DAB Forum is an international non-governmental organisation whose objective is to promote, harmonise and co-ordinate the implementation of Digital Radio services based on the Eureka 147 DAB system.The goal of the Forum is to convert a brilliant piece of engineering achievement into a worldwide commercial marketing success, to the lasting economic and social benefit of all concerned. Over 285 million people around the world can now receive more than 585 different DAB services. Commercial DAB receivers have now been on the market since summer 1998. There are now more than 32 different DAB receivers commercially available. A receiver archive is available on this site, which exhibits the DAB car radios, hi-fi's, PC cards, and other DAB equipment that has been developed.
