Description: Grayson Electronics Company was founded in 1986 by a group of four individuals who had gained technical and business experience in the telecommunication industry while employed with the General Electric Mobile Radio Division in Lynchburg, Virginia. Among the first products designed and built at Grayson were the RF subassemblies for the Extend-A-Cell cellular repeater, developed under the direction of the newly formed Antennal Specialists (division of the Allen Group) RD center, also staffed by former colleagues of the Grayson founders. The EAC product, introduced in the early days of analog cellular phone deployment, was very successful and fueled the initial growth of Grayson and Antenna Specialists. Grayson was acquired by Allen in 1990 and today continues to operate as one of its major divisions.
