Terrasat Communications, Inc. designs and manufactures RF/Microwave assemblies for VSAT and Digital Microwave Radio systems. In July 1994 the company was founded as Terrasat Inc. with a mission to provide innovative and cost effective solutions to manufacturers of equipment for the wireless transmission and reception of voice, data and video. Depending on the product and frequency range, Terrasat Communications, Inc. uses both thin film MIC circuits (utilizing discrete GaAs FET and MMIC chips on alumina substrates) as well as surface mount technology on soft substrates such as FR4, duroid, teflon and derivatives thereof. MIC assembly is done in-house using wire bonders and die attach work stations in a Class 100,000 Clean Room. Surface Mount Assembly is done in-house, as well as subcontracted for automated assembly. Functional testing is done in-house. Terrasat Communications, Inc. has the necessary test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzers, Scalar and Vector Network Analyzers.
