"The Liberty Alliance is comprised of 150 member companies representing a wide variety of industries and over a billion customers, with operations all over the globe. Each of the member companies either owns and operates large communities of interest or is the developer of core technology that can enable a federation of online communities. However, membership in the Alliance is still open and all organizations are invited and encouraged to join. The key objectives of the Liberty Alliance are to Develop specifications that enable service providers to protect consumer privacy

Multi Protocol Label Switching Forum (MPLS) and Frame Relay Alliance
"Founded in March 2000, the MPLS and Frame Relay Alliance is an industry-wide organization of networking and telecommunication companies focused on driving the deployment of multi-vendor MPLS networks and associated applications. Te Forum provides a meeting ground for companies that are creating MPLS products and deploying MPLS networks and services. Through the efforts of our three working committees, the Forum encourages (a) input to the development of standards throughout the various industry standards groups

National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)
"Since its inception in 1958, NASA has accomplished many great scientific and technological feats in air and space. NASA technology also has been adapted for many non-aerospace uses by the private sector. NASA remains a leading force in scientific research and in stimulating public interest in aerospace exploration, as well as science and technology in general. Perhaps more importantly, our exploration of space has taught us to view the Earth, ourselves, and the universe in a new way. While the tremendous technical and scientific accomplishments of NASA demonstrate vividly that humans can achieve previously inconceivable feats, we also are humbled by the realization that Earth is just a tiny ""blue marble"" in the cosmos."

The Technology Administration (TA) is the only Federal agency working to maximize technology's contribution to America's economic growth.

Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP)
Congress established OSTP in 1976 with a broad mandate to advise the President and others within the Executive Office of the President on the impacts of science and technology on domestic and international affairs. The 1976 Act also authorizes OSTP to lead an interagency effort to develop and to implement sound science and technology policies and budgets and to work with the private sector, state and local governments, the science and higher education communities, and other nations toward this end. OSTP also provides technical support to the Office of Homeland Security through a joint arrangement with that Office.
